HTC Butterfly: big brother of the HTC one soon in Germany available

Already last fall had the butterfly introduced HTC, but announced that the higher-end model for the time being only for the Japanese market was planned. Now, the 5-inch Smartphone with the already known mid-range unit desire SV to come even after Germany and exclusively at Media Markt and Saturn will be available in May.

Via press release, the Taiwanese manufacturer HTC has announced that the Smartphone models already in the last year for the first time presented "Butterfly" and "Desire SV" may also in Germany, Austria and the Switzerland will be available, after the devices previously available only for the Japanese market were provided. In this country, the sale apparently exclusively via Media Markt and Saturn. The pricing of the two models, there is so far no information. Desire SV which is in accordance with the statement in black are offered while there will be the Butterfly in the "Glossy Brown" colour variant.

The higher-end model places Butterfly with its facilities right next to the current flagship, the HTC one. One difference is the larger with 5 inch display of the butterfly. This resolves as also at the one (4.7 inch) full HD; the pixel density is slightly with 440 ppi. At the heart of the butterfly represents the Qualcomm-SoC APQ8064 from the S4 Pro family and Adreno-320-GPU. The skin cores cycles with 1.5 GHz. As well as the one, butterfly offers two GiByte RAM, but only 16 MFM of heap memory. An existing microSD card slot, which one does not provide, however almost makes up for this shortcoming. Other key technical data are an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 2 MP camera in the front, 2,020-mAh battery, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi. Android 4.1.x (jelly bean) is used as the operating system. Other than the Japanese model lacks the LTE support. In contrast, mainly plastic instead of aluminium to one comes in the body of the butterfly to usage.

The mid-range Smartphone desire SV offers dual SIM technology and a 4 3-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It is powered by a dual-core processor with 1 GHz Qualcomm (S4 play). Memory are 768 MiByte available, while the internal memory with 4 MFM is quite scarce, can be extend but also a microSD card slot. A replaceable 1620 mAh battery provides the power supply. The desire SV has Android 4.0.4 (ice cream sandwich) as the operating system. Both models use the SENES interface from HTC.
